NEW YORK (CAP) - Parenting Magazine has announced a partnership with the Siamese Twin Unity Club for Kids to produce a new monthly magazine aimed at the niche market of parents of Siamese twins. "There is a segment of the population largely ignored by the mainstream media," said STUCK President Kevin Verney. "Parents of Siamese twins face the same issues as other parents. Okay, and some different ones, too. A lot of different ones." Siamese Twin Parenting editor-in-chief Ronnie Lloyd said the first couple of issues will deal with topics such as what to do when they share the same stomach but like different foods, turning that handicap into a victory in three-legged races, and how to avoid paying double daycare costs while still getting a two-child tax credit. "These are real people with real issues," said Lloyd. "How do you properly fill out a census form? Do you know? I don't. Do they both need to take a driving test for a license? "Pick up the first issue, and we'll tell you," added Lloyd. The first issue hits newsstands in two weeks and is anticipated to be just the first of a number of new segment magazines to flood the market. Others to follow include Deadbeat Parenting, Seventeen & Pregnant and Namibian Baby. Siamese Twin Parenting is a subsidiary of Time, Inc.
