Italy - Europe’s Number OneTravel Destination

     The climate of Italy is creating the ideal environment for outstanding summer vacations. Since a long time, Italy makes its income solely from that. As soon the school holidays are starting every year, European families wrap up their members and travel down to beautiful places, along both sides of this lovely island. And because of its ideal location in the Mediterranean, it was already very successful in its own history, compared to all the other countries.

In the summer the sun transmits ideal swim- and sun- bathe conditions. The salty water on some of the bea- ches is getting into such big waves on certain places, that you have to walk yourself through it, before you can comfortably swim and enjoy. It becomes your daily challenge. And there is one beach after the other.

     The Italian population is natural friendly and inviting, rather than being serious and productive. They are known for their intimate addiction to love, relaxation, easy living and enjoying life. Italian music plays at many places. During the summer time the shops are open at night until at least 12.00am, because the air is cooling off, and tourists and  Italians go and do their promen- ades, and all the streets are full of people. Every other block you can find restaurants and cafeterias, where you may sit outside on the walkways, and lots of nice people passing by. Again, music is everywhere. And it creates a special atmosphere, because everybody is just on va- cation. No stress or any type of problems is there up in the air.

     The meals in the hotels are typical Italian and you may mainly drink red wine, mixed with water for lunch and dinner. But you are always full of sand, which you will bring with you from the beach.

     Rome as the center of Italy, has its very unique atmosphere. There is lots of old and famous history and at the same time, the tourism and the beaches next to it. It might be a good reason, to go there some time for a nice visit. If you really want to do something even more special, go with a ship from Rome to Venice, what is a very impressive adventure.

     You may know from school, that Venice is build on huge wooden sticks into the Mediterranean, with platforms on top, where all the houses are build on. Everything is already very old and stays under continual renova- tions.So nothing bad can happen, after such a long time of its exis-tence. There are no streets, just water channels of any size, de- pending on the traffic. Like it is in any other city. But instead of a bus, you can take a big boat. This is very funny ! You see the water and the boats, and you may ask yourself, "where are now all the cars". Even the taxi you just called, comes as a boat.

     Venice is many hundreds of years old. And because it was the treasure and proud of every monarch, it is full of very old antique buildings, churches and palaces, you don’t find in any other places in the entire world. From real old oriental buildings up to old Italian styles of construction, you will find yourself in a complete different reality. He is a professional Re- storer, so he gives you very awesome background data, also about some other antique cities in Italy.

Already over 2500 years ago, Rome was the center place in Italy for trades and markets. Romulus and Remus, two brothers at this time, founded the city originally and gave her its name. Since then, the entire Italian peninsula and islands grew into historical places and monuments. Together with its tourism, Italy became one of the most favorite places to visit in Europe.
