Tip #8 -- Strike the delicate balance between too serious and a jokin' bozo

 Women love a guy with a sense of humor, as I'm sure you've heard about a million times already.   But to be effective as a tool of seduction it has to be the right sort of humor.  Your comedic efforts when you're around women should always remain on the clever side.  Avoid being relentlessly sarcastic, and NEVER use her as the butt of your jokes... some of them simply won't get it!

If your humor style is too offbeat or just a bad mismatch with hers for instance, then she's likely to mistake your floundering attempts at underground humor as simple nastiness instead.   Or she might be too nervous to pay close enough attention to pick up on the subtle nuances in your attitude while delivering the joke.  Whatever.  You've got to remember that you're still dealing with someone who doesn't know you all that well yet, so always try to steer things towards the middle of the road where people can easily understand what you're talking about.

Then you can lay on your kooky beatnik routine!

Also be aware of the importance of timing when it comes to the art of humor.  Choose only the very best moments to drop in a clever remark, and don't go overboard with the sheer volume of funny stuff or you may find yourself trapped in the "buffoon zone" before you know it and are no longer being taken seriously!  You can wave bye-bye to the trance of romance at that point for sure.

Remember, Men are humorous -- boys are foolish jokers who don't know when to quit.   You're confident that your quips are funny, so you don't need to spray them around the room like bullets, right?   Just relax and stay focused on the flirting and having fun and getting a little rise out of her now and then.   Don't get all wrapped up wondering if you're generating a positive impression of yourself or not.   If you remain cool and reserved, you probably are.   Insecurity is a low status, self-defeating flag to be avoided.

And... if you're going to be encountering a particular woman on a regular basis (at work, as a waitress in a restaurant you frequent, etc.) then your best move again is to work in the humor angle slowly for maximum effect.  This is often a patient, long-term play where you shepherd events towards that perfect moment to make a move on her.

So try not to take things too seriously but certainly don't overdo it with the comedy routine.  You still want to remain sexy in her eyes remember.  This can be hard to do if you're behaving like a total idiot every time she sees you!

Beware of getting stereo-typed as something that you're not, or (even worse) that you hate being thought of.  This is an easy trap to fall into in the presence of the women who genuinely excite us.
