What Is Wrong With Credit Cards ?

Let me ask: “How much money are you making on your job?” “Does your wife work too ? How much money is she making?” I think, I’m right saying, that this is your available personal family money. Whatever you like buying, you have to watch a bit, if you can do it. You may have to save up for it first. That’s how our grant parents and parents did it, and they came actually out fine.

In the 60’s when you took a loan, you had to prove and show, that Banks can really trust you. They were asking you for every penny you were spending, and then for what you need a loan. And they finally decided giving you a minor amount of what you actually asked for, just to make sure you are not getting too excited. It means, that you only got so much money, that you could easily pay it all back. In other words, being able to pay it back was included in the whole deal.

At the beginning, when the Credit Cards did start coming out, still the banks were very tough with giving you a higher limit. Today they flood you with new Credit Cards. You can easily get 3 of the same Bank, every one as high or higher than the others. Making money as a bank became too popular. One can call it a real trend.

But what does it do to the individual.

The individual does not really think or plan any- more with the money from its job. It calculates with Credit Cards and which new purchase goes on which Card. They never have to ask themself, if they can afford it. "We do our monthly payments", is the answer. "Our income is paying for the bills and we go shopping with the Credit Cards". And that’s completely wrong.

Most of the customers for debt relief and many other Credit Card account holders, who cannot do their monthly payments anymore and struggle, lived their life like shown above. One could say, the entire Credit Card System is gotten out of balance.

Does it make us now more happy or rich ?

I made with myself a personal shopping analysis:

I found out, that I did something completely wrong spending so much money in my life and it never really worked out. And yes, off course I used my Credit Cards. My habit was to buy something where I "thought" I need it. It went so far that I bought things only because of looking nice and being useful. I was completely sure, one day I may need it and then I have it already in my home. What a deal ! Let's call it for now the "hamster syndrom".

I don’t want to make you bored with it, but this is a real example for wasting money and could only happen, because I had some handy Credit Cards. If I would have had to finance it with my monthly income, I wouldn’t have bought that much.

Work only with your budget !

You will find out that this is even more fun, because you have to calculate and buy it then, when you are ready. In that way you will always be a real free person. Stay independent and always out of finance troubles ! And if you honestly look back, you wouldn’t have missed a thing often in your entire life, because you didn’t use a Credit Card. And this is the actual right way doing it, but you have to realize it for yourself.

It’s like being a smoker or being a non-smoker, one is still the same person, breathing air or breathing smoke. And your parents and grant parents can prove it. They were breathing normally and didn't have any Credit Cards available all life long. But another main difference was, that it wasn't a "throw-away" civilization, where people always only want new things ( example: a new car purchased 2 years ago is getting replaced today with another new model, and might create an actual loss of 10.000 $. Or instead of getting something repaired, today people just sell it or throw it away, and then it new again).
