The name of our primary website is named, “GermanNationUSA” and will serve as the hub for all things German-American within the USA – from a mostly fun loving and very engaging German-American perspective.
We’re taking the intimidation factor out from exploring your German heritage as we’re assuming that you may be much like the vast majority of Americans of German ancestry that speak little if any German at all. In fact we’re also factoring in that as a German-American, you have probably never even been to Germany either.
No problem.
All though we will give you a taste of native Germany every now and then, our focus will be mostly on what is going on with the confines of the USA, both from a historical perspective in our past, to the present day awakening that has been taking place.
The German influence has undoubtedly shaped this great nation in ways that are not only historically intriguing, but inspiring as well.
If you are of German descent, you will really come to love visiting GermanNationUSA time and time again because you will always discover new and interesting stories, videos, pictures, commentary and facts regarding your German heritage.
The GermanNationUSA website is designed to be informative, educational, entertaining and quite a captivating for all German-Americans and interested visitors alike!
The primary focus for GermanNationUSA will certainly be structured around German-American Tourism within the USA from German restaurants, hotels and retail shops... to German destinations, events and festivals like Oktoberfest!
As one would observe it from a German-American perspective, it seems to be somewhat of an emotional destiny quest for thousands of German-Americans that are both curious and anxious to get back in touch with their Germanic roots to seek out and experience anything German... it's truly a genuine attraction phenomenon.
Do you realize that Germans who settled in America have become the single largest National Group to populate the United States? Today Americans that are of German descent total over 60 million people, by far out numbering those of any other ethnic background.
It is estimated that of those 60 million German-Americans, approximately only 2.2 million have any German linguistic skills at all or have ever been to Germany! This means that there are nearly 57.8 German-Americans out there, both young and old, that do not speak any German, nor have ever set foot on German soil.
This is partly due to the shame and disgrace that fell upon the German people following the war years of WWI & WWII, even though many German immigrants had already arrived and settled in America during the mid to late 1800’s, well before that period.
GermanNationUSA is all about discovering and exploring your proud German heritage, culture, history and traditions. We’ll also show you how you can get linked to and network with other German-Americans socially from all over the world if you wish.
Although GermanNationUSA is still in its early inaugural stages of development, consider it an ever evolving effort as its pages are continually being populated daily with relevant fresh content, pictures, videos, music, widgets, advertising and multiple viral social features as well to ensure not only mass visitor traffic, but visitor participation too!
