Nautical Crib Bedding, Sail away with me...

If you want to create a nursery with a calm and relaxing vibe why not go for nautical crib bedding? Most of the colors are blue and white with little touches of red. As this is not a theme for bright colors it will be a nice and relaxing place for you and your baby. And the best thing is you don't even have to buy a boat.

This is an easy theme to go a bit overboard (no pun intended) with all matching accessories and make your nursery look more like a yacht clubhouse than a nursery. If that's the look you want to go for that is fine of course but if not don't go mad with all the anker, portholes and boats. As the colors are quite neutral it's easy to find curtains and rugs to fit match the bedding set.

Most of these sets are blue and white so it would be obvious to use a similar color on the walls to keep the relaxed vibe of the room. I don't think this theme suits bright colors but you might want to use an accent color to spice it up a little. You could for instance use a red square to accentuate a piece of art or a small border along the walls.

theme is easily updated to a toddler bedroom because nautical is such a broad theme it's easy to find bedding in all sizes. Use white or wooden furniture and your set you can easily upgrade this furniture to toddler size.  

Use accessories from other bedding sets to spice it up a little.
