For many, learning Spanish is rapidly becoming a business necessity. Spanish is becoming more and more important with regards to business. Learning Spanish will enable better communication with Spanish speaking employees or co-workers.

There are over 350 million people whose mother tongue is Spanish? This could be a huge market in business. In North America, Hispanic consumers are the fastest-growing market segment. As for job opportunities, it would certainly be an advantage to include Spanish on your CV. One thing is certain. Knowledge of another language, particularly Spanish, opens up job opportunities with greater scope. Not only within Britain but overseas. Globalization, with it's accompanying free trade agreements is shrinking the business world, and those who know more than one language will definitely have the edge.

Many companies are Spanish owned in Britain covering banking, utilities, airports and much more. Knowledge of Spanish could open up huge opportunities to progress within these companies.

Big business has recognized the importance of the Hispanic consumer and has invested heavily in Latin America. Unlike Europe and Asia where business is conducted in English, in Latin America you need to speak Spanish and be familiar with the culture to be successful.

Today, Spanish rivals English as the language of choice in the Americas with 250 million native Spanish speakers in the Caribbean, Central America, South America and North America. In twenty years, one out of every six people living in the United States will be Hispanic. In the past, learning Spanish used to be a way to open doors, but soon it will be a necessity. 300 million people speak Spanish making it one of the largest markets for businesses.

To  get on in today's increasingly diverse and ever-changing commercial world speaking just English is not enough anymore, it really pays to learn at least one other language. The obvious choice is Spanish as it is the next most widely spoken globally. Because it is the official language in 21 countries and approximately a further 100 million people speak it as their second language.

Spanish will enable communication with another half billion people and thereby immediately improves career and business prospects. With Latin American countries becoming more important as trading partners and the popularity of Spanish in the United States demand for courses has doubled worldwide in the last ten years.

Speaking the language enhances trading with the Spanish speaking countries - they are huge so the market potential is also huge. Of course most speak English but how much more impressive if business could be conducted in their language. It would open up opportunities hitherto unheard of and all business need to diversify in order to survive.
